Campaign Team Update

There is a capital campaign completion team working in the background to keep the momentum going during the three-year capital campaign that kicked off on November 11, 2018.  This team includes the following people:

Shaun McAdams & Denise Dank – co-chairs

Ted & Sandy Maple – spiritual emphasis

Tisha Meyer – arrangements

Jill & Steve Crim – presentations

Debbie Kraft – communications

While the physical building process has not yet started, a lot of work has taken place to finalize loan approvals, floor plans, permits, surveys, bids and estimates.  The floor plans have been approved by the Elders and permits have been approved by governing agencies.  Bids are under review by Ron Smalley and Gregg Guffin at this time and must be finalized before the physical building process can begin.  A ceremonial groundbreaking was held at the Fountain on September 15, 2019.

Many would like to see the construction of the building started.  Please be encouraged that the Elders have the same desire and are working through the pricing process in a manner that will ensure the best financial decisions are made for the church.

The church had about $500,000 set aside for the project, and the campaign raised $1,064,667 from commitments made by 77 families, including 100% of the leaders.  Since that time, additional donations have been received and the collection process is generally in good shape.  Families that made commitments are receiving quarterly statements and updates on the building and campaign status.

In November 2019, new guests and those who were unable to attend a campaign meeting last year will be invited to attend a presentation.  Jill and Steve Crim will provide attendees with an overview of the church’s history and goals related to the project, as well as creative ways to contribute to the campaign.  We are encouraging invitees to attend to see what God has in store for the Fountain and how He wants them to be involved.

We will soon be celebrating our first anniversary since the start of the three-year campaign.  Watch for announcements regarding the date and details regarding that celebration.

Once the physical building process begins, the campaign completion team will coordinate several opportunities for each of us to build ourselves spiritually and to prepare for expanded ministry.  There will be dedication events, prayer events, a special worship night, a Seder dinner, and a series of events leading up to the grand opening of the new space.  The Elders have continued to refine our future operating model to allow them to focus on specific areas, foster ministry growth and encourage Fountain members into service.  The prayer team continues to pray for success of God’s plans for the Fountain to reach more lives for Jesus.

God’s faithfulness and His timing for this building project will provide even more opportunity for us to serve Him and bring others to Jesus.  We encourage all at the Fountain to pray that God continue to lead the Fountain with each step of this process, and for patience and unity as we work toward its completion.
